hawkeye_wx
My excitement about the Sunday system is fading a bit as the euro is focusing all the good snow well north in MN/WI. The much warmer weather is finally only about a week away now, so that's something to look forward to.

I'm gonna take in, and enjoy the snow Sunday/early Monday as there's a good chance we won't see the next flakes until November. Certainly don't expect anymore accumulating snows after this weekend. OHweather
Thought it was cool that CLE got 1.7” of snow on only 0.04” of liquid this morning. Over 40:1. The temp spread today was 41/28. I guess lake effect is high ratio in any month if the surface is below 32.
beavis1729
Some incredible cold in MT and ND this morning. The coldest temp I found was -6 in Plentywood, MT. The coldest wind chill I found was -25 in Bottineau, ND (temp -2 with a 20 mph NW wind). Not bad for April 6.
SchaumburgStormer
At least the models are finally beginning to signal a party change out past next Thursday. It’s insane I am sitting inside watching the masters while snow is falling outside.
Hoosier
We did indeed get sub 500 dm thicknesses into the US. Very impressive. Values below are given in meters, not dm.

weatherbo
high of 21, down to 18 currently...2-3" of snow overnight and early today (snow depth 31"). Lowest wind chill today was 2! This was an average January day here...sun angle was the only giveaway.
Indystorm
Snowing off and on here now with 35 degrees....supposed to be 70 next Friday. I will believe it when I feel it.
OrdIowPitMsp
Repeating the same sentiment...Felt like January today except the stronger sun. Daytime high of 21, windchills have dipped below zero and we are making a run at single digit for a low. Impressive for April.

beavis1729
Rockford IL hit 16 this morning. As best I can tell, this is the 5th coldest temperature on record so late in the season. ORD hit 20, and INL dropped to 4. Tonight looks to be the last cold night. Some locations in the Upper Midwest could drop near 0, where there is snow cover. Impressive! Agree...helped along by above normal snow cover in the source region of the airmass. Not as much modification of the airmass as you’d typically see in April. Chambana
Despite wave after wave of arctic air and temps dropping down into the low 20’s and upper teens, the grass is refusing to give up, greening up pretty nicely. Hopefully after the next few days, we can turn the page to spring. While the wintry pattern has been fun, and I’ve never seen 3-4” of snow on Easter, I’m ready. We have yet to record a 70 degree reading. Gonna dig through some stats, but I can’t recall within the last 10 years we have failed to reach 70 this late. Maybe 2009? Wonder what kind of summer we will have. If we have a 2009 esque summer, people are going to lose their minds.

There has never been an April when temps fail to reach 70 the entire month. Gut feeling this is going to be the first April ever not to have any 70-degree days. The record low maximum April temperature is 73 degrees in 1998 which has a chance to be broken by the end of this month.

cyclone77
So far the warmest temp here this year was 63 on Feb 27th. No 60+ days since. Like DVN we also hit 14 this morning. EDIT: Encouraged to see the Euro showing mid 70s for us Thursday and Friday. That will feel nice.
