Newark is approaching its daily rainfall record for April 16. Other storm total figures include: LGA: 2.36" and NYC: 2.79". Both those locations have also received 2.00" or more rain today. The sun angle is plenty strong to get it done. Part of our problem lately is what we consider a blessing in winter, thick snow cover a couple hundred miles upflow. Funny how the MJO never missed an opportunity to hit the warm phases between October and February. Since then, it has found a way to miss the warm phases every time.
