Enigma
It seems that this storm performed in much of PA, under-performed for much of C and N NJ and over-performed for much of LI. Ex: I work in Summit, NJ and I don't think roads ever fully were covered. There's about 3-4 in OTG. Locals asking...what storm?

I really dont think anything can compare to that storm where there were widespread 2 foot totals. I am on western Long Island and liked the 2015 storm better given that the rates were insane almost all day as opposed to just a few hours at night. PLus I would'nt compare 26 inches to 13 inches. Maybe people east of me disagree.

Much of Union, up through Essex, Passaic, Bergen and Rockland got skunked. In between bands during the evening hours when our totals could've really ramped up. Oh well, it happens. We have a fairly large pine tree next to our driveway and I always get nervous when we have heavy wet snow like this. I didn't want to move the cars out of the driveway though because the road is narrow and the plows are not.. Ended up losing a large limb out of that tree last night but thankfully missed the cars. Unfortunately there was a wicked dry tongue which extended from SW CT down through the LHV and into parts of NE NJ. I knew we were toast about 4pm or so. 12z Euro yesterday showed LI getting the goodsand HRRR had a big dry tongue which verified. We never got more than low end moderate rates which won't cut it on paved surfaces with marginal temps this time of year. Oh well...we did well in the middle 2 storms so no complaints here. It is what it is, unfortunately. If I recall, earlier this winter, even as photos showed the ground covered by snow, the Park reported a trace.
