Northshorekid
Still snowing moderately out in Medford, NY. From the look of the radar, we sill have two solid snow bands set up in Suffolk County. Until it wants to start pivoting out, we snow. We must have at least 20 inches, hopefully we can add a few more inches before this epic storm shuts off. Agreed. Amazing in such a mild winter we still beat every 1980’s winters snowfall. Snow ended here about 10 minutes ago. Not yet dropping off the trees so it’s a beautiful landscape out there. CoastalWx
That LI band was a classic example of being near the dryslot to get the goods. The dry air aids in instability and no doubt that played a role looking at OKX sounding.

Certainly will give what was a warm winter a snowy look in the books. It hasn't really been a warm winter. November, December, January, and March all had below average temperatures. kat5hurricane
Had 10-11" inches of gorgeous looking snow in Whitestone then I come to work in Midtown Manhattan and you would have never known that we had a snowstorm, amazing contrast even moreso than normal. Great March storm although I feel for those who got shafted. The last band really delivered for us in Queens, almost doubled the amounts in the matter of about 3 hours. Much needed after the 3 heartbreak storms prior. I'm ready for spring now.
