Earlier in the day I'd say to reserve optimism since radar was deceiving, but it's starting to pick up now so you might be in for some good stuff.

I've experienced both of these today between about 1-5PM. Either pixie dust or big flakes but sparse. Finally ripping now though.

I’m in Southwestern Suffolk near near Patchough, and I’ve got a whopping quarter of an inch of snow so far.  I seemed to be in the dead zone of mixing and rain all day.  It finally has become all snow, but my totals will surely be lower than my LI friends who have 4-6 inches already in some places.

Do I still have hope of salvaging a decent amount?
