Dino
Probably picked up all of the accumulation today from 9am to 12pm. Then the rates died down and accumulations paused. Expecting huge snow later night.

cardinalland
NYC has only had 0.6 inch QPF though so around 5 inches makes sense, which is what I see in Manhattan. It could be more though
Mophstymeo
Unless things really -- and I mean really -- pick up soon, i can't see any of the forecasts, except the most conservative, panning out. Here's hoping.
SnoSki14
At this rate this will likely be my biggest storm of the season. Closing in on 5" near Old Bridge.

bluewave
Actually lost some of the accumulation from this morning. Temps rose to 34 and the pavement became mostly wet. Just some very light snow now that isn't accumulating and 33 here in SW Suffolk.
jm1220
Probably close to 2” here now but snow remains quite light with small flakes.

SleetStormNJ
Again I think people have this “pavement” accumulation bias or obsession. The weather service even noted to expect lower totals on paved and treated surfaces. And indicated the bulk of the storm to be afternoon into the late evening. Thus far things are playing out as expected. It has underperformed in some spots but that’s the case with every storm in some area.

SnowGoose69
NYC might see close to a foot out of this. It would have to be the most mundane one foot snowstorm ever. I’m not sure there has ever been an event like that where at some point they didn’t snow around 2-3 inches per hour
