I can see it snowing just off to my south and I'm literally right on the Westchester line, it's at the end of my street. I won't mind not shoveling but it's tough to be forecasted for 7-12 and get nothing at all.
sferic
Lynbrook in Western Nassau County 1 sloppy inch with ocassional flakes, not looking as if we see anything more than another inch or two unless banding sets up but so far not producing here. Joerock
South East Brooklyn (Marine Park): I am eyeballing about 2 slushy inches. In the pic, i shoved about an inch of slush an hr ago.
SnowGoose69
Even where radar echoes are good the rates don’t seem to be matching. The snow growth is likely poor as Forky had pointed out yesterday. Ratios seem like 9 to 1 so far

Yep, radar isn't pretty either and that convection has slowed it's northward progression. Currently some light flakes here.

sferic
Be interesting to see if WSW is downgraded to WWA or less. Not saying it cannot surprise all night and everyone gets 6 inches more but I am not too confident as I usually am Noreasters 1 2 and 3 taught me don't get too excited

cjr231
5.5 inches here on Staten as of 4pm. Didn't accumulate too well the last two hours or so but now that the sun has gone down some we seem to be making progress again. Roads are covered again. Yeah i posted earlier on my drive home from Hauppauge, there was a significant difference once north of the LIE at ex.68. Snow covered roads, snow laden branches, and 3-5" of snow. Radar hasnt looked good right over the south shore. Maybe things improve after sunset..
