NorthShoreWx
32 here with a light sleet / snow mix. When the heavier radar echos come through, its big snow flakes. About 1.5" so far. Dry slot off the south shore is preceded by a heavier band. We could dry out for a bit....or that band could make it only to here, which would be nice. Mophstymeo
Nice-sized flakes in western Nassau, but there is absolutely no intensity. They're just fluttering to the ground like so many feathers.

SnowGoose69
You can see how strong the sun impact is that the temps rose at LGA and NYC so far
Ericjcrash
Road accumuations have stopped once a given street has been cleared. Snowing at a decent clip but it's really bright and the sun has to be effecting it given it's close to solar noon. Wish there were more bands coming off the ocean but hopefully a few more inches so we can get to 7" or so.

Ericjcrash
It's high noon and late March, rates aren't good, I'm certainly not surprised... maybe a couple more inches IMO. The morning stuff saved the storm.
Mophstymeo
It's started again with the big flakes but lackadaisical descent.

It's kind of amazing. For the long stretches where we have been at 1/4 mile viz, the sky has the brightness like it is about to rapidly clear. Just scooped some snow on my terrace and it is an amazing fluffy consistency. Perfect to make snowman. Mod-heavy again.
Mitchel Volk
Moderate to heavy snow with flakes up to 1.25" at Baver Street. Just measured 4" of accumulation at Battery Park at 1:30pm

NycStormChaser
We have roughly 12 more hours of this storm to go. 3 more hours or so of the sunlight making a big difference. Give it time now that the storm is beginning to crank. Even an inch an hour will boost accumulations but I expect times to be heavier than that. 2 hours ago, Ericjcrash said: It's high noon and late March, rates aren't good, I'm certainly not surprised... maybe a couple more inches IMO.
