wolfpackwxDC
Things are winding down here in Arlington. Just took a measurement and we are right about the 4 inch range. Pleasantly surprised by the outcome and also excited to see that roads/driveways where if anyone attempted to do any clearing are already melting rapidly! Cobalt
4.1", probably my last total due to compaction. Got my 10" on the year! I'm happy.

BTRWx's Thanks Giving
3.4" in Alexandria very fine flakes now
SomeguyfromTakomaPark
Very solid event. Measured 4 compacted inches so I’d guess 4-5 total in Takoma Park. Hoping some of these last bands can sneak in.

You can already see banding and subsidence structure setting up. Not sure how much more can accumulate. Probably 1-3" max if I had to guess. For many it won't add to totals due to compaction. Can't deny the march sun even with clouds. Great event though. Beautiful scene out there. Yep. Currently sitting at 36/30, with steady SN- for past two hours. I didn't get out to do an official measurement before compaction set in, but just before noon we probably received between 4"-5" here in Hayfield Farm/Kingstowne area...then melted down to between 3"-4" since. Roads/sidewalks have also caved...to above-freezing temps (as seen below). Pretty nice event, though.
mattie g
I had 3” as of like 10:00 this morning. It’s been snowing all day since and I’ve barely made it to 4”. Light snow during midday after the equinox just ain’t gonna cut it.
clskinsfan
This outer band has been great for the past couple of hours. I have measured 9.3 inches throughout the event with 5 cleanings of my snowboard every 6 hours. With compaction I have about 6 and a half inches on the ground. Really a fantastic event for late March. NW of Winchester. Snow and 31 degrees.
CAPE
Wow I finally got in here. I wasn't home for the early part of the storm, so without proper measurement accounting for compaction/melting, I am just over 5 ". Been a great storm here. Moderate to heavy snow most of the day. If this were January this would easily be a foot. Moderate snow continues...
cigrgd
I had about 1" yesterday and an additional 5.5" today in Columbia.
jayyy
Easily over 8” total in NW Ellicott city. I’ll measure later I’m too warm

smokeybandit
I'd say about 5" total. A disappointment from what the forecast was from last night, but, for it being March and it being a crappy winter, 5" is a nice day

Compaction probably added to the difficulty but I was getting lower totals than anyone else around me was for whatever reason. Glenmont and even Olney got more than me because y'all got in on some of that mega yellow band that completely missed us.
WxMan1
6.5" in Crofton as of 3:30. Still snowing, but at 34.1° with the March 21 midday sun, accumulation rates have slackened considerably.

WEATHER53
Just got in for first time since 12 noon my tech looked at it and you are being flooded by hackers. StantonParkHoya
We’ve got drippage on Capitol Hill. Roads are now just wet. Late March sun angle is very real.
ErinInTheSky
It sure doesn't look like anything else is coming. Never say never and all but I think at 4.3" total, this will be my biggest snowstorm I've ever witnessed, but I still have yet to experience a warning-level event that materializes. Some pictures (before compaction)
CAPE
Never seen so much snow clinging to tree branches. Gorgeous but precarious. Thankfully the wind is picking up now and the stuff is falling off in big clumps.

87storms
around 4" here, give or take. did some driving/walking around. definitely a bit of an underperformer during the midday/afternoon with generally light snow and even some faint peeks of sun here and there, but the morning made up for it. looks like we could get fringed by some of the pivot/backbuilding, so that would be a bonus. either way, i expect some light stuff into the overnight hours. overall nice storm for march 21. it helps take some of the sting off of this winter. Cobalt
Final is 4.1". I honestly enjoyed this storm. May have under performed, but it's hard to complain when it fell in late March. First 4" storm since the blizzard, and with 10.5" on the year, this is just a regular "bad year" now. Not a bad storm
peribonca
Sun angle is going to be less of an issue from now through evening... Just need some bands to pivot through
