midatlanticweather
We have an official 0.5" since steady snow arrived. Light at the moment but steady and heavier on the doorstep according to radar

mdhokie
The good news is that it started as snow. I think one thing the models we're showing was some sleet to start. Need to maximize precip.
ErinInTheSky
29/28 I think I’ll be good on temp. I always bust low during snow events.
jacindc
Starting to get some larger flakes mixing in with the tiny ones here on the Hill. Roads and sidewalks just wet.
Paleocene
Light to moderate snow continues in Hyattsville. Sidewalks and roads starting to get lightly covered in colder spots. Looks like a band oriented WSW-ENE is about to head up and over US-50.
WVsnowlover
Tried to stay up last night but things never got going. Even set my alarm to check radar a few times not wanting to miss anything. Awoke now to a nice snow falling and a fresh 2 inches bringing my storm total to 5. It finally feels like a decent snowstorm to me. I'm happy, anything additional is a bonus! 87storms
Latest rgem and hrdrps would suggest that 9am to 4pm (ballpark) is the window of our better rates.
BaltimoreWxGuy
Anybody got a SPC Analysis? Specifically 850s and mid layer temps? Curious if this first round of precip will be sleet or snow for me

MillvilleWx
Where the hell is Ji? Did he get muted again? Almost worthy of saying puking snow now in Leesburg. If this band can set up for a while, we could outperform expectations. It’s not an HECS so he won’t care as much. Radar looks good out your way. Enjoy! . snowmagnet
Snowing pretty moderately now in Fairfax (just west of FFX city). Have a good 1” or so on the ground.
ErinInTheSky
Probably some serious snow under this thing. It's blossoming fast to the north and west.
mattie g
Been snowing moderately for the last hour or so in Burke. 29° with a bit over 1” on the ground...with grass, sidewalks, and streets completely covered. Didn’t lose any QPF to sleet or freezing rain once these returns filled in, and streets caved immediately. Trees holding onto the snow, as well. Really pretty sight. Kingstonian
A healthy moderate snow in SSW Franconia/Kingstowne now. Haven’t gone out to measure yet but based on past storms this winter I’d guess I’m getting close to 0.5”. In the 1.1 mile round trip drive to Starbucks, the roads were a bit slushy but fine. Had a nice little ice layer on the car I had to hack off. Counted 19 plows on my drive. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
airmarci
Snowing at a pretty good clip here in Vienna with nice big flakes. Roads are all well covered...probably put down ~1" within the past hour or so.
aldie 22
I enjoy the heavy bands but what I love as well is when it does lighten up it's still a solid dumping. Steady snow looking good to me

jacindc
Really picked up in the last 10 minutes on the south side of the Hill, and it's starting to stick on sidewalks and the street.
shoshanaz
Light sleety snow, 30F. Nothing impressive at this point. Off treated pavement, we have a solid base of frozen sleet 1-2", so if it falls it will accumulate. Just north of Baltimore city/county border, a couple of miles inside the Baltimore Beltway, Greenspring Ave.
