Indystorm
Here on Indy's ne side the flakes are pixie dust size but I can barely see across the street. Gonna be the best snow of the entire season if this keeps up even though I am only in the advisory area at present.

Jackstraw
My goodness, you can just see the dry air eating every band that tries to drive NE of a KLAF to KHAO line. Snowfreak turned the magnet on backwards and it's now a dry air death ray lol.

Indystorm
Officially 6.3 inches so far at Indpls airport. Most snow since 2/14/14 and still coming down heavily. Indy was just a little over ten inches of snow for the season until this new blast so it will help to even things up a bit.

And we finally broke the seal here, and are getting some flakeage...so not a total shutout, lol. Had to work all day lol. WHAT A STORM!! Some of the heaviest wet snow I've ever seen. When you're out walking in the falling snow it feels like rain. Measured an average of 9.6" here, but I'm guessing at least a foot actually fell but settled. I measured 6.4" at 5:10 am before I left for work. That early morning band completely smoked us, and laid down a nice base. The intense bands that moved in around 1pm and stalled were extremely intense.

Jackstraw
I find this loop amazing. It almost looks like a wicked outflow boundary moving in from the NE. Haven't had a flake or a drop in this storm but have seen some weird stuff and for some reason I'm enjoying it! http://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?type=IND-N0Q-1-

hlcater
Took another 3 spot average and came up with 8.9". Other reports across the northeastern 2/3rds of Linn County are also in the 8-10" range, with higher totals as you go northeast. There may be 1 more inch to go before all is said and done. Bummed we didn't get in on the 12+ totals in Jones county, but a 9-10" storm is rare enough in and of itself, so I'm gonna take it.

Indystorm
That dry ne flow has turned off my snow faucet here in nw Hancock County at least temporarily. Good convergence from ne and w lead to great uplift awhile earlier and very heavy snow.

cyclone77
The GOES-16 loop from today is pretty sweet. You can see how dynamic this system was, with plenty of convective elements. The snow has completely shut off here. It went from +SN to not a flake in less than 10 minutes. Kind of got to see what the northeast fringe was like most of the day.
