sferic
warm tongue in western nass pushed temps up a degree and now snow and sleet mix albeit light. When will it be snow alone?

I am probably less than 3 miles from wxman but 350 feet lower in elevation and received about 10" from that storm. I am guessing this one may be more uniform for our areas since it seems colder. Just have to get a little lucky with the banding. 10" is nothing to sneeze at!

When will it be snow alone? sorry just posted in the other thread...looks like it should be all snow by around noon. some shorter periods could still see grains or pellets mix in this afternoon if/where/when precip lightens up. But most schools have skeleton crew staff for cleaning ( ours are outsourced, 2 to a building ) and the adults who work in the schools also have to get home, and usually have to get their own kids who are being dismissed early. No matter what you do, people will complain. Yeah but to leave 8 year olds sitting outside is wrong. Two of our neighbors kids were also left out in the cold and didn't have a house to go int until I got home. That was the last time that happened here as there were lots of families in the same position.
RU848789
National Weather Service Mount Holly NJ 948 AM EDT Wed Mar 21 2018 930 AM checkin. STS snow grid as posted on PHI web site and in briefing pkgs conts as is and is from 8AM today through 8 AM Thursday and does NOT include what occurred between 8 AM ydy and 8AM this morning. No change yet but once we see the 12z NAM trends we will probably make an adjustment higher to the w and n of PHL. We need time to digest multiple sources of ongoing info and hourly updated model guidance. Hopefully most folks I95 nwwd know the storm is ON! to the east, we hear wheres the snow but we think its coming. Need more time to assess. Max snowfall so far 4.5" in Lehigh County and ABE officially at 8AM 2.1" snowfall rates in the e PA NNJ band now mostly 1-almost 2"/hr. Cold sub freezing air pouring swwd into the snow area ... see Sandy Hook 31F!

She's got the Traverse, 287 should be OK; 1&9 was ok but now i hear sirens going off. Her company is closed so I don't get it. You scientists must love what you do. At times I think she loves her cells more than me....she only has to got S Plfd for a couple hours. Hope we get some of those bands this time out.
