butterfish55
N RI is getting crushed...and adjacent SE MA like near our butterfish poster....gotta be near 10" in those spots now. Our poster up in Mendon was at 9" in extreme SE ORH county where they've been persistently under good banding. It's been like 200 yard visibilty for about 2 hours now. Just blasting. Impossible to say how much on the ground, but Brett just said about 7"....it's all of that. If it stays like this for another hour we'll be close to 10 here

USCAPEWEATHERAF
Good to solid inflow out of the southeast currently, really moistening up the dry slot and producing heavy echoes to stream into nantucket

I'm just east of Logan and we have at least 6-7in. Haven't been measuring, just eyeballing. RUNNAWAYICEBERG
If we can get the huge band in the east to keep coming weat that should expand the western deform band enough to keep wct in the game for the day.

STILL N OF PIKE
Where is greenfield Chris. That band is exceptionally close to him . Also other posters up there. Like Jay has said the radar is deciding the snow winners and losers right now based on how this band sets up. The snow loterry if you will. USCAPEWEATHERAF
Chatham, MA Municipal Airport's last observation had only .62" of QPF measured so far, that means if models were right, we have another 1.9" of liquid precipitation to go in this storm
Eskimo Joe
So question for the group...any ideas why BOX hasn't extended the Blizzard Warning further west into RI? Providence and Newport are certainly meeting the criteria. I know it's for 3 consecutive hours, but conditions appear to be only worsening through midday. I am going out to measure now. My vis is literally 100 feet.
