Lesson learned stay in the Mid-Atlantic subforum and don't go posting in the New England forum. Pretty sure i learned that pretty fast today.

Really surprised you didn't learn this in January when you posted there asking for confirmation of the day 10 storms on the Euro & asking them if school would be cancelled due to the snow

I did stop asking for confirmation of 10 day euro storms in fact. I'm still getting used to this forum.

I’m so glad Ji started this thread!  I’m ready for another tracking event, but will try to curb my enthusiasm a bit.  I really feel like we deserve an easily trackable snow after this winter.  Maybe something like January 2016. Not the amounts, just the lead time.  Although, It was stressful to try to nail down who would get 30” and who would get 22”.

If there is a legit storm for us they will appear.  Asking them questions is not advised as you learned.  When you get blizzards weekly.. like they do..you can afford to be arrogant.  They are the mafia of winter weather.

You've been around here long enough now to know what a quality post looks like. Make em or don't post at all.

And damn dude, those were some sorry ass troll posts in the NE thread, lol.

lol, since they were getting a lot of snow i decided to get a little sorry and troll them because they have more snow than me. I know i shouldn't post in the New England thread because it's not my area but today i slipped up.

This is great news, 2 years in a row this area has lost all of their plum / apricot blossoms

I don’t think any blossoms have come out yet. I know neither my peach nor my plum have blossomed. Good thing, too, because they’ve produced nothing the last two years after blossoming early then getting zapped by late-March/April cold snaps.

My plum tree already blossomed. No plums for me this year. :(

How about that gfs run y’all

I think that it needs to work on its form. It's not running to its full potential. It takes small strides that make it use up more of its energy in a non-efficient way. It needs to widen those strides and also swing its arms some more to give each of its strides a boost. The potential is there for it to be great but it's not there at this time. I'd give this run a 3/10 (a poor score)..... oh you mean the snow potential next week? It was an okay run generally speaking though I would like to see it a little bit more amped as a few more experienced people have alluded to. With the blocking 50/50 low in place we can risk a slightly more amped system vs. a suppressed one.

I live in Prince George, VA.... 25 miles SE of Richmond. Mine bloomed the end of the 2nd week of February. My Hosta plants are already breaking through the ground, rose bushes fully leafed, and the Daffodills are in bloom. This area is screwed for a pretty spring.

wow. you are ok down to 28 i think, so you might make it :)

Great post.  I'm pretty sure the global models have set monthly records for day 5/6 skill in the NH yet again over the past couple of months.

You (and I) are wasting our time. He has some serious cognitive dissonance going on wrt NWP. And he also seems to have some serious deep seeded anti government issues which since they run most of the NWP just adds fuel to the fire. I don't know what his deal is. Does he think people become evil robots when they decide to work in the public sector?  It's just people doing a job for public good. Maybe if we called it that instead of "government" some of this nonsense would go away then they can turn their attention to finding Elvis or Bigfoot or The abominable snowman. Or all 3, maybe their hiding out together having tea while programming NWP to frustrate snow weenies.
