2" here in Ayer... 31.5 ... Lull on rad in n-central Mass was for real.  We just spent the better part of an hour in flurries interestingly enough.

Not just saying this because of that... it does actually seem, looking at rad behavior, that this is so far a bit more of a shred fest on rad than was probably visualized... But, we'll see what happens a bit later when we get a better CCB head structure going - not sure we have that just yet.  These pieces may be still formulating

Two things:

1) You aren't doing anything until that lift moves in As Will said, once that lift goes into metro west, it should flip.

2) Need winds to back more nrly and drain colder air down.  That will take a few hours in ern MA near the coast.

What are people using to track r/s line?

Ptype maps (intellicast, radarscope) are incorrect based on ground obs Boston metrowest

CC radar / differential reflectivity don't seem to be capturing it well either

Yep, ...appears the melt altitude is below the rad detection for the ptype algorithms maybe.

Not sure what else it would be.  I have a friends in both Waltham and in Arlington where Intell has snow, yet they are saying its straight rain.
