I think this is going to end up an i95 quick hitting 8 hr snowfall from Philly to Boston 8-12 inches locally up to 24

24 inches from an 8 hour storm. That would be pretty damn impressive...almost impossible

It’s happened before but it’s tough and it’s usually elevation based.  12/30/00 and 1/6/02 both had 2 foot amounts in about an 8 hour span

Interesting, thanks. I'm familiar with 12/30, but don't recall 1/6. Will look into it.

Given what I said at the very beginning of this thread, I'm still not getting invested in this, Euro or not.  After the last modeling blowup a few days out, I'll wait until 12z Tuesday, lol.

It hit NE PA the Catskills and Hudson Valley.  Albany had 14 inches in 4 hours

  I would just like to get a couple more rides in. Last year the PI day storm gave us a little late season love so may we will get a redux.

There has been a subtle trend over the past five or six runs of the GFS to bring that northern stream down more quickly. Seems to be continuing tonight.
