WeathermanB
I think the snow is over. It has just changed over to rain, measured 1.4'' after some really heavy snow.. Winter is still a bust.
ThePhotoGuy
Can hear sleet hitting against the window. Pretty wintry look outside. If temps drop a couple degrees tonight, side roads are going to get pretty bad.
Warm Nose
Looks like it's just about over, 3" or so. Neat little 4-5 hour event. I'll take it and be happy!

Fun to drive around in though. Surface temps over performed and considering it got warmer than expected earlier...that's a good lesson for everyone. Shallow warm layers can get punched in the face with good rate/evap cooling/wet bulbing etc. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna hit .4 qpf for this one too. EEEEEEEUROOOOO! Overall, this event is going to go down as a big win in my yard. Heavy rates at times, nice dendrites, roads caved, and temp got below freezing. What more can you ask for out of this one? Boom I'm fully happy. Still pouring sleet/mangled flakes. I drove some neighborhood kids home around the corner and the roads were awful. I had my wheel turning left to go straight. Barely got back up my driveway.

It hasn't been the best year for the euro but this particular event was handled very very well. Qpf and temps only made gradual moves run over run and the nuts and bolts were represented very well from 72 hours out. Temps got in the way of a widespread warning level event. That was the only problem. If it was colder then most of us would have hit 5"+. Considering how tiny the window was, we came out on the winning end regardless. Cobalt
Pretty crazy that roads caved here. Proves that rates > temperatures. Especially since during the Dec 9 event, roads didn't cave, and we got twice as much snow

While we might think of what this storm could've been, we also need to think of what this storm may not have become. Was close to a non-event for many, especially given the trends we saw last night. Glad most folks got a decent event out of it
North Balti Zen
Now straight sleet. Looks like my final snow total will be 2”. Really gorgeous in my neighborhood. All the trees are caked with snow.

winterymix
Reisterstown, 2" 31 Pretty on the trees, an inch on the road. Probably 24 hours from now, it will seem as if nothing happened.
shoshanaz
A good 2.5 inches on top of my silver car in Pikesville/Greenspring. 32 and still snowing. No wind. Probably and half inch on sidewalks and streets. Definitely not the fluffy stuff.

Fozz
2.5” It definitely feels like more because it was coming down heavily for some time and the scenery is amazing. Gotta say...I’m pleasantly surprised that even my cul-de-sac has caved. But this is a pretty fascinating event in that the rates just let up a bit and I flipped to mix. Cool place and great beers and food. Turned out I chased to jackpotville, easily 2-3 inches when I left.

dailylurker
Lots of dripping going on but that's ok. It was a great little storm. The rates made the event for me. I live for heavy snowfall rates. I got to Jebwalk in dumping snow and have total coverage on the ground. Total win
EastCoast NPZ
2.5". Even some snow on the roads. Only time this year I can't see my grass. 150% larger than any other event this season. Much better than I expected it to turn out. If only it was 5F colder.

Cobalt
Measured 1 3/8" of snow on the snow board, which means that the snow compacted only 1/8" from the sleet/rain at the end. Final total of 1.5".
