Subtropics
As February is looking to finish the back half above average, and sun angle quickly rising, it's about that time those of us south of 40N get to look forward to warmth! March is looking potentially chilly to start, but figured it was time to get this thread started, especially for the more southern members of our sub-forum. Here's to models showing an early and warm start to spring!

Cobalt
I don't want an early start to spring. All I want is a monsoon season like we got in April 2014, where we got constant deluges. Can we make it happen?
StantonParkHoya
A thread to discuss all things Spring. Spring Lovers' haven. - When do you start feeling Spring approach? - Do you enjoy sun angle discussions? - Is pollen season a fair trade off for Happy Hours outdoors? - Etc. Etc. Subtropics
Winter is the worst. It's brutally long in DC. My ideal winter is 6-8 weeks of averages in the 50s Dec 1-Feb 1, followed by an early and warm spring.
Jandurin
Winter is not brutally long in DC. It's amost a footnote. Summer is brutally long. Summer is the worst season.

nw baltimore wx
I spent Christmas in Hawaii one year and thought that it was going to be weird, but like so many other times in my life, I was wrong. The weather there is pretty much perfect year round. Oddly enough, the best time to go there for me is summer because it's so unbearable here and near-perfect there. Jebman
After the snows, we will likely have a very early, very robust start to spring, marked by very ridiculously above normal temps. the past couple of days are an example of that. Despite the cold in Jan, climate change is still very much alive and kicking and 2018 looks to be the hottest year so far. Lots of ice up north will melt. It wont be long before we hit that critical desalinization threshold and the weather gets VERY wild, lol.
