Odd and interesting storm. mm.. it's really more of hybrid 'swfe' tho - i tried to point this out the other day, that the low is passing under our latitude... the 850 mb is closing off under our latitude, albeit weakly and at intervals less than the standard one you see on synoptic charts.... the moment that happens, you're probably cat pawing as it is in a marginal thermal depth... but, that pinching ends any south-westiness about it - heh seriously though Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Of course, the street will refreeze, but the city has been good about treating our hills once the nastiness is done. if we can get a good breeze with low dewpoints we might be spared the worst of the flash freeze.
