Chris78
I haven't looked at the radar all day till now. The trajectory of the precip doesn't look bad at all right now. Maybe it will change and take on a more northerly component but right now it looks good.

I wish I knew what, although even just a trace of ice is worth a WWA. It’s funny, I’m at 31 in Stafford now and I think I’m more concerned about no precip when temperatures cooperate vs just rain

Mordecai
What are the chances that NWS will increase the timing of their advisory to beyond 10AM? Fairfax County’s main source is NWS...and I’m not too hopeful they’ll change to closure. Either way I’m going to bed and turned off my alarm. Hopefully waking up tomorrow will be worth it

MillvilleWx
Thermometer bouncing a little between 27/28, so we’re cooling pretty well in Northern MoCo. That break in the precip may end up being a savior for the area. Any prolonged precip from start till 10/11am east of Rt 15 will make for a nasty result. Still ice on trees around my area with places like Clarksburg in worse shape. Das must be busy. Usually he’s all over these events with temp updates. Must be really busy, or in Vermont haha. CAPE
28 here currently, but I expect there will be pretty rapid warming at the surface towards morning ahead of any precip. Maybe an hour of sleet, but zero chance of freezing rain here.

WesternFringe
30.5 degrees here near Staunton. First batch of precip inbound and should arrive here in a couple of hours. NWS grew more bullish on ice totals as the day went on, upping them from the map posted earlier in this thread.
RDM
27/25 Not going to get much if any colder at this point. Sure is a nice slug of precip in SW VA. As noted by others, the trajectory looks decent...

WVclimo
High pressure looks to have crested here now, as the barometer has leveled it's rise at 30.44" the past few hours. 24 degrees which is below tonight's forecasted low. Now just need the moisture. Looks like my area may be right on the edge for stuff early in the a.m.

BristowWx
Well most are now in the 20s. One check in the box. I’m ok with FZDZ. I have given up on any snow. That is a bridge too far for my area.

Jebman
Well, I am back up in Jefferson County again lol, and I can report we have clear skies here, 17 mile visibilities. Lots of plows up here, lots of hope, but I will probably miss out AGAIN since it looks like this probably wont get going til noon Wednesday after all. Thwarted, AGAIN! lmao I do a lot of chasing, dont have much to show for it. I also think I might be bad luck, perhaps if I were to go to Austin for a month, we might get shellacked by snow? Sleet, freezing rain and rain delayed is sleet, freezing rain and rain DENIED. I'd love to get stranded by sleet and ZR, and spin the car all the way into Prince William. Too bad I am in the WRONG part of the country for that, this winter.
WesternFringe
30.9/26 here and light freezing rain just started! These last 2 winters have been so bad (6" last year and 6" this year so far) that I get excited about the chance for a quarter of an inch of ice...I will mPing in a minute
