Jebman
Good soaker, about 2 inches, much more on the way per radar upstream. Nice beneficial rain to alleviate the drought. Patches of dense fog, very unpredictable, be very very careful driving in this. There has been ponding of water on the highways, please slow down. CAPE
Getting some rumbles of thunder with this latest deluge. 4.35" and rising eta- quite an impressive cell. Wind has kicked up, some lightning and booming thunder. Of course this will be nowhere to be found in mid July when my yard is burning up in the hot sun. WeathermanB
Currently being "trainlined" on by a line of heavy thundershowers. Reds showing just over my house and a little north. We can squeeze out about .20'' just from that. edit: Also hearing thunder.

I just get tired of receiving a fraction of precip of the rest of the region. Hope it lets up for you soon.

high risk
Going to be interesting to see how far north the warm front can advance today. The HRRR is most aggressive, while the NAM3 struggles to get it too far north of an east-west axis through southern Howard County. The NAM3 also shows it retreating a bit later due to some convectively-induced sfc cooling and then pulls it back further north in the early evening. The widespread rainfall right now is causing the front to struggle to move north and northwest, but it is in the low 60s in Calvert County. Stormpc
Front is draped right thru east central PWC thru SE Fairfax and on an axis NE. . 60 degrees at HOADLY RD and 234. 1/2 Mile north it's 47.

Think the warm front is nudging closer and/or at our front door in NVA. Was at 43 a couple of hours ago - around where it held steady overnight. Started climbing about an hour ago am already up to 55 now. With 55dp too.

Yeah the temperature gradient is pretty sharp- 49 at BWI and 68 IMBY here in Prince Frederick. I was surprised how warm it was when I went out this morning. 09-10 analogy
Dark squally weather. It looked quite ominous off to the west a few minutes ago, then a quasi-cloudburst. I was expecting some thunder perhaps, but no go. If we can't get snow, I'd rather have this than steady rain and mid 30s.
