Sad really, except for grit giving his thoughts, which are always appreciated! BF, I'm at 45 Torchy degrees! full cloud cover Looking forward to a drought ending cold rain here. I hope the HRRR is right and the warm nose is minimal. Not much to follow for our neck of the woods and ZR is just a pain.

drfranklin
Mack, I use a 7 year old Vantage Vue mounted approx 2m above ground - well away from my house - it's above 30 feet from a seldom used side road - the VV is not shaded but does have a passive radiation shield

I don't have the money for anything fancy. mackerel_sky
43/5 now. Winds from SE, not good! TWC has my low down to 31 now, and more ice in their wording for tonight and tomorrow. Hear the HRRR is horrible on surface temps, but not sure

Buddy1987
So 18z nam looks to want to drive the wedge at 2m down into north GA, as there is a bubble of 32 showing up north of ATL. The moisture overall wants to advect a little quicker.

Tanith
I note that the WWA that was posted for my little corner of Georgia seems to have spread into the Carolinas. They seem to think it's gonna be more serious than first expected, huh?

mackerel_sky
Well the short short version of GSP afternoon discussion: not much concern in the upstate, at all . Duncana12
One thing I have notice on most of the models(nam, gem, etc) Hickory and west back into Burke county and McDowell county all have around or above 0.25 that would be warning criteria. Any thoughts for these areas?
neatlburbwthrguy
do youll think the highlands/cashiers area (3500 feet) will see some snow out of this? debating on driving up there for the night from atl....need to decide soon thanks

Apparently, we on weatherboards, are the only ones that believe/ use these models!? They are showing warning criteria for a lot of areas in best CAD regions of SCNC, NEGA
