Damage In Tolland
As we enter a very snowy next 2 -3 weeks before it breaks.. we have our next event quickly coming on the heels of today’s over achiever. Initially models really blew this analfront up into a bigger deal. UKIE drops a solid 3-6”, but most guidance is a bit less than that. This one may start as a mix or rain in spots before flipping to snow. It appears that the hill towns may do better than lowlands/ coast, but those deets TBD. But it's the NAM unfortunately. The thing we want to see is a more defined wave along the front...that will def help throw back a bit more moisture on the cold side. 00z NAM sort of does this. So did the 12z ukie today. Those are the types of solutions we want to see if we are going to try and pull solid advisory or better. The solutions like the euro and GFS are flatter and more rounded with the trough and it's not able to generate as much lift to the left of the front. USCAPEWEATHERAF
Will, the NAM was much more robust at 00z tonight and so was the SREFs, I think this could trend towards a low end warning event.

ORH_wxman
I wouldn't go more than 1-2" for Thursday night right now. It's pretty ugly. The little disturbance Ginxy mentioned late tonight could actually drop an inch or two north of the pile if it pans out. Not agreement on all guidance how much qpf falls.
