CoastalWx
Pattern sucks. Even with help from the nao region the SE ridge just flexes. We aren’t getting much winter until that relaxes.

This winter is doing a Usain Bolt 100 meter dash into the suck category.

OSUmetstud
7 days is way too optimistic I think. It would at least 10 until it gets better.

The other thing I haven’t seen much posts about is how far north the vortex is. Canada is very cold, but the vortex is so far north that the cold is having a tough time penetrating deep into the US. The pattern for the time being certainly favors more of the Plains into the Great Lakes. ORD should make up for the snow deficit.

I'm just curious as to what happens after. Its been considerably more hostile here relative to climo than sne. The war need to weaken or else this will go down as one of the worst winters here. Hazey
The war need to weaken or else this will go down as one of the worst winters here. Lock it up. Nfld and NS are in correction territory. I just hope it's not a multi year phase.
Ginx snewx
Tanning the nap today, beautiful. This is why I love all of New England. Deep winter is 2 hrs away. Powder day at many resorts. Pretty sure the path is developing for some serious winter to return to all end of Feb, don't be surprised if we are in full weenie mode somewhere around the 25th. HoarfrostHubb
Steady as she goes for misery in SNE at least through day 7. Close the blinds, put on the Olympics, and read Kocin/Uccellini until then.
