Syrmax
Flipping thru 0z Euro panels on Maue's site...looks pretty decent for next wednesday unless youre in so. tier near BGM or ENY. Looks like it takes slp from OK to SE OH to near Scranton or BGM. Thermal profiles look all/most snow for SYR/ROC/BUF. So maybe it's caving to GFS a bit, which is still further S&E with low track. In fast flow with +NAO, hard to see that system winding up and cutting west of here.
CNY_WX
Only about 1/2 inch here this morning. I had to go to North Medical on Taft and Buckley this morning and I would guesstimate about 4 inches there. It’s snowing lightly here again. The 6Z GFS shows a succession of systems over the next 2 weeks. None of them are blockbusters and some may taint but at least it’s not a dry frigid pattern. lakeeffectkid383
Not sure if no one cares because BUF always overdoes forecast but they upgraded E Lake Ontario counties to warnings for tonight through tomorrow for 8-12” with 16” on the Tug... Hard to tell what the hell is going to happen. Other than the Tug always wins. If I'm to believe my forecast, it's another 6" total today and overnight combined, on top of the 2" I had this a.m. Areas 3-5 miles south of me had triple that. So time to sit back and enjoy cuz this'll be bigger than Sunday system and maybe next Wed if the models take away the football on us at the last moment. DeltaT13
Man, that is an aggressive map, even by Buffalo NWS standards. As stated, Monroe county and West seems way overdone. 2 hours ago, vortmax said: Not sure this is gonna verify on the western side of the totals... CNY-WXFREAK
I know exactly whats gonna happen with this band that is strengthening over Wayne County. It will continue to intensify then when's it ready to head North it'll do so rapidly limiting its residence time to perhaps 1/2 to 3/4 hr over the area, lol. The snow hole of So. Oswego county is in full effect and should continue until further notice, rlmfao.

Syrmax
Up to a whopping 3.5" on the day. I think Bville and Syracuse got that in an hour this morning. Snowing still but lightly. Of note Syracuse airport, south of me, has about 10" more snow this season than I do. The city might be even more. This is one of those seasons, like last year, where the city does better than northern burbs.
rochesterdave
Late weekend storm looks to go north. Leaving Gennessee Valley downsloped. Little accumulation looks likely. Rest of the forecast looks progressive and flat. And by rest I mean through spring. Ugh. What a difference a few days makes.
