You're probably in the best spot on this forum. I'm surprised you don't hang with the New England crew since you're in the Hudson Valley

...NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS EXPECTED TONIGHT ALONG THE LAKE ERIE
SHORELINE OF SOUTHERN ERIE AND CHAUTAUQUA COUNTIES...

Near blizzard conditions are expected along the Lake Erie shoreline
tonight, with the worst conditions expected between 1000 PM and 400
AM. Snowfall rates are expected to peak between 1 and 2 inches per
hour, along with northerly winds gusting to 45 mph. This will likely
create very dangerous and near impossible travel conditions, with
near zero visibility and blowing and drifting snow.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 61 and 57A, or between the
Pennsylvania State Line and Eden-Angola.

Locations impacted include...
Dunkirk, Fredonia, Evans, Eden, Westfield, Silver Creek, Angola,
North Collins, Lake Erie State Park and Derby.

Visibilities will drop quickly to near zero in this area of heavy
snow.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time when
traveling.

Nunda, NY is in the western part of the state, just outside of Letchworth state park.

Edit: Sorry, I didn’t see your post above.

That hole should fill in fairly quickly I'd imagine, but I don't live out there so I don't assume

That hole will grow until it encompasses all of NY. And then everyone dies. Cuz Global Warming. I just saw that on NBC news.

TRANSITION ZONE in effect until further notice.

More like the F*** You Zone.  Notice a lot in these synoptic events that stupid donut sits over us for the first few hours before filling in.  Oh well time to get it on now hopefully.  Grass is just about coated here finally.

This is a very slow start, unless it's all just in my head, but I figured by now we'd be approaching 1"/hr rates and while it's snowing it's still having a very hard time sticking to anything but the grass...

I believe they said peak rates for BUF metro would be 10pm-4am...

1-2” per hour

What?!? We can't even accumulate anything what so ever on pavement, with maybe 1/2" on grass. Wow. What's a difference in 5-10 miles. Congrats to you. This things gonna bust here no doubt, I cant believe how much it's struggling to accumulate.
