CNY-WXFREAK
My forecast is a bit higher at 7-11" and that's not happening unless some serious LE gets involved but I doubt it!
CNY_WX
CNY Central (channels 5 & 9, Wayne Maher) calling for 6-10 over the entire area with a few lollipops of 8-14 over higher elevations up to 7 tomorrow night. Then they’re calling for an additional 2-4 overnight Wednesday.

wolfie09
Enjoy what u get as the Euro turns ugly in the med-long range, also the euro image that was posted includes 2 storms, 0.4”-0.5” region wide for this one, not that I necessarily believe global models qpf output.. wolfie09
18z Gfs is 0.6”+ for Fulton, even more than the euro, not sure why people stressing over a medium-long range model in the short range lol Gfs always gets funky as we move closer...lol
CNY_WX
We have a good idea from the models what to expect so now it’s time to sit back and enjoy the show. As usual with a system of this nature if I get 6 inches I’ll be happy. Anything more will be gravy!

wolfie09
Not supposed to, Fulton has 30% pops for tonight, 3k nam sends this band back up north..Looks like it may be lightly snowing in Fulton via radar but out at Smokey’s right now
rochesterdave
Point and click now has sub warning amounts for all of Monroe. Dumped tomorrow’s 4-7 for an anemic 3-5. Not a good sign. Might they downgrade? I thought WSW was a bit nutty.

For KSYR, it's 6" at 10:1 so 10" seems doable... Edit: just noticed that's a 72 hr prog...must include thurs/Fri precip. Sigh.

CNY-LES FREAK
This band of LE to our North is bothering me to the point of exhaustion. How is this band not dropping South as winds veer in response to the strengthening storm system to our South? It continues to blast areas to the E-NE. It's mindboggling sometimes, seriously though.Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
CNY-LES FREAK
HRRR has the low in Alleghany county. If thats right, Kbuf will be su ny by days end, lol??Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
CNY-LES FREAK
If thats right, Kbuf will be su ny by days end, lol??Sent from my SM-G930V using TapatalkYeah, cause its in the process of popping a secondary over or just to the South of LI or else it would be rain in KBGM and the rest of CNY that's for sure.Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
CNY-LES FREAK
That's also why most of the precip is displaced to the East as opposed to the NW of the System where most precip lies within a storm system.Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
wolfie09
Storm system is originally coming out of the SW and so is the wind direction hence the band to the north..
CNY-WXFREAK
GFS is either on to something or its just off its bird as it once again drops totals. WNY will be lucky to do better than .3" and KSYR isn't to far ahead at .6" so I don't know what to think!
wolfie09
Every model has 0.5”-0.6 for ksyr region and has for days, so I’m not sure why this is a surprise..Gfs is actually wetter then the euro..Kbuf has always been 0.30-0.40”..
