CoastalWx
What a joke. At least our apprehensions of the hi res models get validated finally when everyone was dry humping them from previous storms.

ORH_wxman
Guidance has been pretty awful in this threat. Lot of waffling and fake-outs. Still gotta watch the weenie band potential in this with that vortmax track.
TauntonBlizzard2013
not an insignificant cutback either. Was suspicious of those totals from 18z.... proved to be the right move. 3-5” Jimmy 1-3” canal area C-1” Bos PVD Flurries West..... final call

Yeah we had a pretty steady trend from 00z last night. 06z then 12z then 18z. You figured it should be pretty real once inside of 48 hours but 00z so far is a massive turd in the punchbowl. Hopefully rgem doesn't back off as much and maybe we get a little more out of the GFS than we've seen so far. A converging of solutions rather than a straight negative trend across all guidance. Right, nothing was honed in until close. Jan 4th still had big players too far east even at 24hrs. positive gains still prove bad modelling. RUNNAWAYICEBERG
With that said, its still just the hit or miss nam here ...which is bad modelling no matter what.

It's going to take some work for us back here, I'm watching but pretty skeptical on anything more than a coating unless Reggie holds serve and GooFuS and the King make another move west. I agree - the odds of anything much happening back here have been and continue to be slim. It amazes me just how hypersensitive the modeling seems to be to minor changes lately. ORH_wxman
As expected, Reggie cut way back too. Now has 0.2" qpf or so from BOS to PVD.
