Save the itchy algae!
Long time lurker, thought I had an account...but here I am! Temp is down to 41 at my place in Farragut. I'm not sure how some people's temps are rising, mine is going down steadily. Radar looks good for east TN to me, I wouldn't give up quite yet. Coach B
We've had a little of everything here near Lewisburg in the last hour. Mostly snow now. Looks like it's going to get out of here before it can accumulate.
PowellVolz
Not seeing this last past 11 o’clock IMO. The flow does look a little more south to north on the back edge than it did an hour ago. .
ShawnEastTN
Down to 38 still rain currently here.
PowellVolz
Down to 38 still rain currently here.If the change over was around 37 at higher elevations then it’ll probably be closer to 35ish for the valley .

TellicoWx
Snow line is still at 2000' here currently...slowly lowering. Great thing about living on Skyway. 15 mins to go from 900'-3000+'

It will be interesting to see what happens when your snowline gets to ~1000' for comparative purposes.
John1122
The snow level has reached the valley floor in Campbell County. Report from a friend who lives near Cove Lake says it's snowing there now. Elevation there is just over 1000 feet.
Wintersnow888
It's up to a good inch and the change occurred for good at about 34 degrees ...it sleeted about twenty minutes first. The temp is now 30 down from 38 when it was raining. I am about ten miles nw of crossville elevation 1988.
ShawnEastTN
Im in the gap on the radar waiting for the precip on the plateau to move off, I'm probably about right in temp now just need precip. Sitting at 37.7.
Save the itchy algae!
It looks like areas north of Knox are starting to change over, I expect Powell/Clinton areas will start seeing a transition within the next 20-30 mins.
Windspeed
Temperature is falling pretty fast now around TRI. Down to 37° here. Expecting changeover by 11 pm. I may be overly optimistic, but we might get close to 2" by 3am if the precip shield can hold out that long.
TellicoWx
Like John said, the colder air is deeper across the northern valley compared to here...it's hard to use for a comparison at that distance. 40 north looks decent for see something, my area prob doesn't get down to 1500' before moisture cuts off. John1122
MRX updated a bit ago, said the forecast was on track, the Valley should see the full change by 10 pm or so and that accumulation still looks on track.

BhamParker
Just switched over to snow and it’s coming down at a good pace! Patio is already accumulating a light dusting. I wasn’t expecting such a fast changeover.

PowellVolz
Yeah at your elevation wouldn't be surprised to see 2-3" I think he does better than that IMO. NW flow might give him several more hours of snow. The rain that moved through Knoxville a hour or so ago was pretty heavy. It was beating on the garage door. . BlunderStorm
MRX showed Honaker accumulating just over 3 inches and thus far it seems on pace to reach the forecasted amount. No dice for Mid-Tenn but maybe the ETN/SWVA snow deficit can be made up for. Maybe I can rake in some bonus fairy dust as the storm departs.
