Get out and enjoy the May like weather today. Winter is over for the most part. He mentioned that the high pressure from the east coast ridge is so strong it’s almost creating a hole in the atmosphere. Is this just hyperbole or is there some science to it? The problem is we also did it last year. It may be nice out, at least to some people, but this is just not normal. It may be the new normal but it's not healthy and it actually scares me when you think about it. Where does it end? To put it into perspective it's 74° right now in Central Park. The average high temperature doesn't hit 74 in Central Park until May 26. And of course that's using the inflated averages from 1981 to 2010 when we were already warming up. Really makes you think.
