If you look at radar estimates of precip totals, you'll see a little hole just north of the Balt beltway and west of 83. That's where I am. Eskimo Joe
Constant low rumbling thunder here in Reisterstown....looks like a possible supercell for Baltimore City. VIL over 70 and tops approaching 60kft. Severe Thunderstorm Watch just expanded for Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's.
osfan24
Got realllyyyy dark here and had some wind and then it suddenly got brighter and had a few minutes of rain. Weird. No lightning and just a few low rumbles of thunder.

BlizzardNole
My wife was worried about storms with my son and 9 friends out for prom tonight but the Germantown thunderstorm shield came thru perfectly. Big boomers over and NE of the Balt area and new ones popping over DC south. Nothing here. Yeah I'll be cussing soon when I'm watering cracked, parched garden beds, but this worked well for us tonight. Very wet looking pattern over the next week. Calling it now -- less than 0.5 total here thru 7 days.

biodhokie
Nothing like watching SE and NE DC get a decent storm pop-up meanwhile here in Silver Spring gets a split job and storms blowing up east of it. Still haven't heard thunder yet this year, awesome.

Eskimo Joe
That was a decent event. The folks who typically get shafted seemed to have gotten something and there are some respectable hail reports for this region.
PrinceFrederickWx
The rule is we can’t actually get thunderstorms IMBY until I make posts complaining about it. It makes cells suddenly blow up or change direction... like now lol
