TellicoWx
More redevelopment to the WNW of Birmingham with a small piece of energy rotating around...think it will be too late for the eastern valley unless the front stalled again.
dwagner88
Looks like we are finished here. Not enough to be worth measuring. The roads are white, but there was so little moisture in the snow that they aren’t really very slippery. The kids could’ve gone to school here tomorrow. ShawnEastTN
Tellico you should still have some time yet for more if the back edge it to me, there is still a good 30 to 40 miles between me and you for you to keep getting a little more, plus sometimes the streams/bands get stuck running against the mountains which could keep you in snow longer yet. John1122
Managed to pass 2 inches. First time since 2016 that I pulled that off. .5 to 2 with isolated 3 inch spots for the eastern forum seems to be about on point. Wish we could have pulled similar numbers to the west side but it seems to be their year and we rarely ever both get to have good years for snow. Stovepipe
Squeezing out a few larger dime or so sized flakes now that I assume are higher ratio. Still rather light. Looking great in the flood lights!
Kasper
Got roughly 1.5 here in Athens, I think I’m seeing what Shawn is seeing, the infamous back edge! I’ll take it, hopefully after this warmup we can cash in on a big one in February!

Stovepipe
Petering out here, good luck to those east and north. Congrats to all that got snow and may the winter have more in store for everyone! Ended up with a solid 1.5 maybe a little more. Whose up for ice skating on the roads in the morning?

Windspeed
Not sure I'll see 3" but as it stands I expect some bad roads around TRI in the morning. Everything that initially melted is freezing solid by midnight with the temperatures plummeting.
Kasper
Interesting, that piece of energy is backfilling westward!
Bango
Absent some miracle, ill struggle to reach a half inch just north of kingsport...kind of pitiful really, roads arent even covered. Storm time arrival at peak warmth didnt help, it took a long time to start sticking.

bearman
There. is a narrow but pretty intense band to the southwest of Hytop AL that should effect Chatt. I think that should come up the eastern part of the Valley don't know how far north it will make it. It is over for me.

There is still a moisture feed coming up out of Alabama that should bend over the NETN Valley and Holston tributaries around midnight. In the short-term, there's a nice band moving close to you. Edit: Like I said earlier, I don't know if TRI will reach 3". I have about 1/2" right now. It'll be close.

bearman
Chatt looks like it has a heavy band going right through the city. WHEN It reads 26 all the way form the Nashville radar that should be intense.

Weird how it sort of kicked back to the west. I guess eventually it will work it’s way over here.
bearman
Yes it is a narrow band but looks to be intense and headed your way. As it comes up your way be nice it it would fill in to the east.

I would almost swear we sleeted for awhile here as well...This has been a really weird snow. I figured it would be a powdery snow as the temp has dropped to 24 but it sounds like sleet outside. The flakes on the ground feel and look like sleet as well. Any explanation y’all?

Chattownsnow
Not seeing anything here from that band yet north of Chattanooga. Thought it was all over but was hoping for a miracle on radar and saw that. I’m just east of Soddy Daisy.
bearman
The way that line is kicking back to the west it just might clip me. I wonder what is causing that.
