Is this talk of a pivot in jest, or was this part of the reason the RAP/HRR increased totals for the upstate? Without any Atlantic influence, I wouldn't think a pivot would be possible, no?

It's the upper levels that change the flow, not the oceans.

Snow is dumping right now in Kernersville, NC.  Temp 27*    Wind driven tiny flake fest, but they are adding up quick.

Yeah I'm in N High Point and surprised at how small the flakes have been. Still, closing in on 3" now no complaints here. Right on schedule for 6"+.

Snowing pretty decently here in south Durham. Cars are white and grass is whitening. Because of surface temps, it's not performing well and roads are sidewalks are just wet.

you complain to your wife when you're having sex, don't you?

Switched from heavy snow to a flizzard now.  Hoping to get those big flakes flying again soon

We're go time but for what it's worth, the 12 NAM just increased snow totals for the Triangle. 6-8" for the whole area at 10:1 rates.

Dealing with the rates, we may want to use the 10:1 ratio because early on we'll be getting much less and then later more. Not sure if the positive rate values will end up making the average any higher than 10:1...just a thought
