WidreMann
Snowing pretty decently here in south Durham. Cars are white and grass is whitening. Because of surface temps, it's not performing well and roads are sidewalks are just wet.

We've had 2-3 events in the last few years that were touted as "rain or snow definitely no sleet here" and then half my qpf was sleet.
FallsLake
Man it's been poring the snow; still is. Temp is at 32.3 so still a little above freezing. Need that to drop a couple more degrees. But it is really accumulating fast. The ground is totally white and even shaded areas of my driveway are getting white.

Jenkins
Main roads are now getting sloppy. Based on the traffic on google maps, I'd imagine the roads in North CLT are a mess. https://www.google.com/maps/@35.2121643,-80.8094488,11.46z/data=!5m1!1e1
FallsLake
We're go time but for what it's worth, the 12 NAM just increased snow totals for the Triangle. 6-8" for the whole area at 10:1 rates. Dealing with the rates, we may want to use the 10:1 ratio because early on we'll be getting much less and then later more. Not sure if the positive rate values will end up making the average any higher than 10:1...just a thought
