I have had snow on radar overhead for last 2 hours, could count on my hands the number of flakes that actually fell to ground. Just in last 5 minutes an actual light 'snow' has started, pixie dust style. Made it to 39.8 degrees, currently 35.5/29.7. In other words, there is a good bit of dry air to overcome.

FWIW (which is probably not much) The HRRR seems to bring the precip in in 2 waves, first one from the current band, and then it kind of tapes into the stuff south of the area and fills in the gap briefly.

Looks very light either way.

I think that might be virga, 22z HRRR showed a snow hole over the region

22z I just looked at still shows the 2 wave idea. I thought it accounted for virga?

Either way, they called a 2 hour delay tomorrow for my job at APG, pretty shocking. So I am satisfied enough.

I can remember times where there was 6 inches on the ground and they were like "eh, report on time". Things have definitely gotten much softer over the years.

Turning into An Average La Nina Winter

FYP. Also, it doesn't matter if this is a car topper if we're lucky. Not like we're gonna shift our focus away from an event happening within 1 day to threats 7 days out that will disappear within the next 2 or 3 days.
