John1122
Jonesboro Arkansas is below freezing and reporting unknown precipitation. Likely sleet and freezing rain. Dyersburg is 34 but reporting snow. Will be awesome for them if the can stay snow. Memphis is 38 with rain. Front is just east of Clarksville to just east of Jackson. Amazing NW winds behind it. Clarksville is sustained at 29 with gusts into the 30s. Temp there is 42. Still 60 in Nashville. They're next on the passage steam roller.

John1122
Dyersburg and Clarksville are both all snow still. Looks like the heavy freezing rain for those areas won't come to pass. Models are busting badly on it there if that's the case. Memphis is 32 with freezing rain. Snow is falling in Jackson as well. Maybe a surprise or maybe it'll switch to freezing rain and then back to snow. Most all models showed it starting as zr to sleet to snow though. The front is just through Nashville now as can be seen from Tellico's post.
John1122
Per regional WFO's the cold front and cold air are progressing faster than modeled and the cold air is deeper, thus more sleet/snow and less freezing rain likely to occur. nrgjeff
Glad the front is steeper/deeper. Mid-level warm layer may be thick and warm, but that 1040 high. Sleet is much preferred over FZRA at work. Any reports near Nashville? Mid-Tenn risk was a little shallower cold at first, but northwest of BNA went to sleet quickly. Hope its the same for all the city and suburbs south/east. Thank you!

John1122
Front is at the western edge of the plateau. Moving much more slowly than it was earlier. Per Wunderground stations it's about to hit Monterey as just 10 miles west of Monterey it's 44 and Monterey is 58.
