Been getting snow at times while the sun is shining, something that seems to happen sometimes near the fringes of lake bands.

Radar depiction shows that you should be getting in on the good stuff, unless it's just eat of your location.

Storm totals for the Chicago area as of 6 AM. Looks about right, I measured ~6" this morning before a couple heavier bands moved through covering the driveway again. Super-long duration with lots of lulls, but it produced in the end... should all be gone by the weekend. It was snowing big dendrites steadily with few clouds yesterday afternoon and again this morning - a sure sign of full saturation and efficient snow production. The pivot was pretty sweet to watch on radar even though returns were lacking much of the time.

And MDW 3.9", still very solid. Particularly appreciated the duration of the event. The last couple days have been quintessential winter.

This should bring Chicago's snowfall total this winter to around 9.5".
