AfewUniversesBelowNormal
Lowest measurable arctic ice. I noticed that there were extreme anomalies in October. It was interesting because since 1948, you would not find periods of weeks with anomaly any more than +150. This one substantially more.

AfewUniversesBelowNormal
2017 was 2nd lowest arctic ice. Impressive
Vice-Regent
The larger time period gives an important perspective. One could get confused day to day.

AfewUniversesBelowNormal
Another perspective, this looks an awful lot like something that has nothing to do with arctic ice.. (see my HAARP thread)
AfewUniversesBelowNormal
Furthermore, it is my scientific assessment that real organic ice loss result would not look like this, and this is perhaps connected but something different/by something different. AfewUniversesBelowNormal
Nothing is forcing the Hemisphere pattern right now except small movements, the biggest difference is less ice in the Bering Straight region and +anomaly showing up as dominant. It will be interesting to see if the Hemisphere sits at the poles with constant +ridging for the next few years or if a big wave occurs...

AfewUniversesBelowNormal
I would guess we go into record breaking territory, challenging 2012 this Summer. There have been super high +500mb anomalies for the whole majority of the last 3-4 months so there may be some strong PV-counter action, but the Hemisphere is warm.
