Wicked icing signal with temps at surface running 29-32 SE PA. Gonna be close.

Heisy
I'm seeing a lot more salt trucks out there today. That freak ice event a few years back was so bad because roads weren't treated. It will be nasty tonight though regardless
The Iceman
this has Lehigh valley and upper bucks ice event written all over it. I think say south of warminster, this will be no big deal as I think we get above freezing. just my opinion. I'm at 27F already, dew point is 15F but I just don't see us holding below freezing down here. good luck to everyone further north.
bigtenfan
I think that even if the air temp gets above freezing the ground is so cold from the past few days that anything that falls will freeze pretty quickly.

There is no massive push of warm air at or above the surface with this system and the surfaces are well below freezing (air temps just above freezing mean little with the temps we have had over the last two weeks). It will most certainly be an issue much further south than you state.
Jsdphilly
These are always the worst. It only takes like 6 frozen rain drops and the roads become terrible. Seems to me like this will be an issue much further south then warminster.
Newman
For those of us further north (Berks, Lehigh), 950's and 850's are basically hovering right around the 0C mark. Here's 850mb Temps

Newman
This isn't good. Precip started maybe 20 minutes ago and everything is already coated in ice. Sidewalks and driveways are currently icy with the roads, for now, only wet.
