wawarriors4
http://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?type=AKQ-N0Q-1-12 Looking at the Wakefield radar, it appears the western edge is constricting back toward the East.... Edit: Same look going on on the Raleigh radar too http://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?type=RAX-N0Q-1-

Thanatos_I_Am
I genuinely feel bad for the brethren out west. I feel like I am getting screwed here in Rockville, but you guys might not even see a flake. Godbless yah out there. You'll score while we rain, eventually. I am going to get a good nights sleep and wake up to my leftover scraps from last week. What a disgusting winter this is so far. Sucks, man. Being on the outside looking in is always tough. I’m headed to bed, too. But that’s because I have a little one who likes to wake us up 3-4 times per night and because I’ll be up at 5:20 for work. Hope I see a bit of snow on the way in tomorrow. The walk up 7th Street from L’Enfant to Gallery Place should be invigorating!

Bob Chill
Gfs smoothed out the gradient and pushed west a bit. DC in the .2 contour should make Matt happy.
Negnao
Dry air really fighting the precip trying to get into DC and points north and west. It's managed to get north of town and east of town and it's snowing as far north of town as York, pa. It just can't seem to advance even a mile into DC. It's the DC snow force field. wolfpackwxDC
I may just be delirious at this point - or wishcasting - or something...but does it not seem like the storm starts building back to the W/NW toward the end of this loop!?! http://weather.cod.edu/satrad/exper/?parms=subregional-Virginias-10-48-1-

snjókoma
Check out composite reflectivity: https://radar.weather.gov/ridge/radar.php?rid=LWX&product=NCR&overlay=11101111&loop=yes Someone was talking about heavy virga. Seems like the virga has gotten less heavy which is why the ground precipitation is having a hard time advancing NW as the column fails to moisten up. IUsedToHateCold
Could it be that areas close to the bay are more moist at the upper levels and the precip is reaching the ground faster?
