The rain is not unexpected at this point. Now if it's still rain by midnight you might be on to something.

The Unisys map is just too coarse.  Check out the NC obs here:  http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=MHX&issuedby=MHX&product=RWR&format=CI&version=1
