shawnmov
Can't remember the last time I've seen a pressure drop like this in my hood. 40mb drop in 15 hours from 1021mb to 981mb since midnight.
weatherwiz
Man can people be brutal...some of the tweets Ryan gets are horrific. But it’s great to see some of Ryab’s Replies...some of them are pure savage.

Baroclinic Zone
It's semantics to be quite honest but I feel the warning was justified by about 9am this AM before the trigger was pulled. Just a fantastic storm regardless of where I am.

Professional Lurker
Really picked up here again, probably our last hurrah but should get us up over 7". No clue what I've got here just to your north, but we've been stuck in that band all afternoon...Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
Go Kart Mozart
Apparently a flake that leaves the clouds over Southbury lands in Trumbull. The snow fell heavily before the radar band reached me, then tapered when we were mid-band.

OSUmetstud
8 minutes ago, dendrite said: The definition is vague anyway...”frequent gusts”. I mean you had gusts over 30kt every hour, but here and there they would dip into the 20s. They should average the gusts over the hour (1min obs) and if it’s over 30kt say that hour qualifies. The vis can be cheap too. You can have 5 straight hours of 1/4SM except for one SPECI in the middle that is 1/2SM. Canadians go with 4 hours and sustained wind of 40km h(22 kts) so it's a bit harder. I know everyone was preoccupied with the snow but this seemed primed for Boston Harbour. I fear that's what Halifax's waterfront is going to look like. Winds gusting to 72mph at the airport and that's well inland. I believe that the Sultan of Surge (Ginx) mentioned the possibilities but he got taken out by the flu and a burst pipe at the museum so his posts have been limited a bit.
