wolfie09
Yup pretty much sums it up, Canadian brings the weak wave north and drops several inches if it’s any consolation lol (which it’s not)
wolfie09
Canadian actually has several light-mod events over the next 7-10 days which has been the norm this year..Gfs also shows several chances at snow albeit light..
CNY_WX
GFS has the next system digging out west and we end up with mix to rain followed by more dry cold weather.
BGM Blizzard
Funny how the GFS bows to Euro for both the light event late Monday into Tuesday and also for the Friday system. The king is still the king. Dilly dilly. We wait.
wolfie09
To be fair, Gfs had it and lost it which is a typical thing for it to do..

Look at the snowfall graph in the Post-Standard. We’re still ahead of the record snowfall season of 92-93 where the majority fell in February and March. To put things in perspective, KSYR is at 79" and KBUF and KROC are around 60" IIRC, give or take a few inches. Looking at other major NWS Climo stations in the northeast ( the ones that report cumulative snowfall), only KCAR and KBGR up in Maine are in the same league and only KCAR is over 70". So it could be much worse.
Thinksnow18
The whole GFS run from 0z to 12z gives WNY and CNY PLENTY of opportunities for snow from several Clippers and a system next weekend that looks potent...got a feeling it will look a lot like winter very soon and for quite some time. Don’t think we see a lot of snow at once at all but I can see BUF adding a solid foot to the seasonal total over the next 10-14 days.
