Buffalo Bumble
I'm in Houston for work this week. Felt great when I got in yesterday afternoon, mid 60's....Now it's sleeting/freezing raining and entire city is basically shut down. Winter is following me... Not much going on. You may see as much wintry wx in HOU than the i95 crowd in SNE.
Syrmax
KBGM snow map went for 4 to 3" for SYR and 6 to 5" for BGM. My whole.world is imploding.

lakeeffectkid383
Shocked to wake up to find moderate snow coming down and what looks to be like 4” or so of new snow since I went to bed last night (just eyeballing)
wolfie09
Snow continues here, some of the biggest flakes I’ve seen this year, every time it looks like it’s ending more precipitation develops.. With that being said just a light accumulation overnight, I bet they did decent just to the north, will have to wait till the PNS comes out.. lakeeffectkid383
4.2” as the snow is letting up here. Go just a couple miles north and there’s only an inch or two. Looked at a radar loop from overnight and for once the band sat right over my head for hours, like others have said too bad the lake is frozen or we could have really gotten pounded. I’ll take it though!

Williamsville was in the second band just north of metro buffalo received a little over 2" but snow was falling moderately as I left for the office 45 minutes ago and radar shows still snowing. And you would mostly be correct, Euro has definitely been trending cooler and so has the NWS, kinda on the fence here lol I could go for a nice warm up but I also wouldn’t mind saving a little of my snowpack.. lakeeffectkid383
Snow coming down heavily once again in WS, I have multiple webcams at my house including one on my snowboard in my backyard and it looks like we’re just about at 5” . Amazed the NWS hasn’t even issued a WWA especially with the impact this snow has had on the morning commute....
wolfie09
They just issued one for Oswego county, especially north..
CNY-WXFREAK
There's a pretty strong disturbance in the lower levels around the H850 level that's passing through.
BuffaloWeather
Woke up to 2.5" of new snow since last night. Still snowing decently here. Airport got 3.3" and still snowing there too. If lake wasn't 90% frozen this is high end warning event. http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=buf&product=PNS&issuedby=BUF

Thinksnow18
Does anyone else notice what appears to be a trough or front dropping through the upper great Lakes? I've noticed the LES has begun to blossom a bit on radar over eastern lake Erie again and wonder if and when that trough makes it too us will it enhance the snow? Already busted as we’re over 6” in WS... heck if this keeps up for several more hours we may land up close to double digit totals. It’s all pure fluff and won’t take much at all to zap it away but it counts just as much towards the seasonal total as the concrete stuff.

Yes just as I posted how heavy it lightened up considerably in the last 15 minutes or so. Just light snow now, looks about 6.5”. What a great surprise event. SouthBuffaloSteve
Had 5.7" on the board here so far since last night. Sun is peaking out now and it should start to rapidly compress with the fluff factor. Looks like northtowns will get it for a while. Hmm if this keeps up till mid afternoon this could be our best lake effect event for BUF so far this season.
