As of 5:30pm today, my backyard weather station has been below freezing continuously for a week. I can’t say I thought that would be possible here. It will be interesting to see if tomorrow breaks the streak.

My weather station is at 212 hours straight (8 days, 20 hours) below freezing.  300+ hours looks likely which would be the longest continuous below freezing I've ever recorded.

25Dec H/L: 36.6°F/27.1°F; 26Dec: 28.2°F/15.1°F; 27Dec: 23.9°F/9.8°F; 28Dec: 18.7°F/9.5°F; 29Dec: 25.5°F/14.6°F; 30Dec: 29.8°F/11.1°F; 31Dec: 17.7°F/4.8°F; 01Jan 19.1°F/4.7°F; 02Jan 22.2°F/5.6°F

Coldest morning of the season... 1f  after a high yesterday of 22.

Temp fell into the single digits just after 10pm last night.  Creek is completely frozen over now....even the faster flowing areas.  In the 15 years we have lived in this house this is the first time I've seen this happen.  I drilled holes through the ice in one of the slower pool areas of the creek yesterday and found an average of 4" in thickness.  Impressing for a flowing stream.

Got down to a low of 1 this morning. Coldest morning of the year so far. If you like cold you should be loving the forecast for Friday morning. -5 out here is the forecast with 20 MPH winds out of the NW. Should be ridiculous in all honesty.

Very cold this morning, but felt fine w/o any wind.  I could easily do -20F in still air.  Headed out to Canaan on Friday, but with forecasted highs there around 0F and wind, it's going to be hard to get out and enjoy the only snow I'm likely to see this year.

Those damn low dewpoints are what are going to make the west gradient so agonizing. My DP is -5.

Dry air is going be a yuge, YUGE problem for the western edge, gonna be hell for that light snow to try and overcome, Good thing this storm is such an epically slow mover!

I expect a coating on top of the car --- of about 47 small pixie dust particles at the height of the storm, while the coast is getting milkshake frothed by 50 mph gusts and torrential snows and zero visibilities.
