Tracking 1" events for days with hundreds to over a thousand posts and what not. I think the issue is a lot of people, myself included really feel like this winter isn't going to produce. I know it's early, but it just has that bad feeling to it and the models' teasing is just brutal. We've had like 3 storms that trended way better in the last 72hrs just to evaporate just before onset. It's getting tiring. I'm already thinking about spring fishing, sadly... Issue is, a lot of people (including myself) had gotten excited with talk of the 95/96 winter being an analog. We surely haven't had a shortage of winter threats, with a couple overachieving. Hopefully this 2 year drought of big snows will be met with a Moderate West based El Nino with plenty of -Nao/-Ao to go around next year. Decision is coming down to whether I want to visit a great distillery and have better chances of snow, WV, or 2 free nights at a hotel and outlets to keep my wife occupied while I gamble. Love my snow but I am also a cheap SOB so saving 200-250 on a hotel room is a biggie. Between getting yelled at when posts are cleaned up to just not wanting to take the time to deal with adults, I'll repeat that, ADULTS acting like babies over the one (uno, 1, primo) thing they have zero control over. Weather. I love snow, I love weather, I've been here since 2007. But this place is now a drag. No one listens, its the same thing repeated every storm threat and the juice isn't worth the squeeze. I love the place but it's not life and death. Do what you can but don't stress it. When some people get mad at you it probably means your doing your job so don't worry about that. You had me at hello Expand We always hope that new blood refreshes and rejuvenates a team, project, company, or even a forum, but it seems like the most recent additions to this forum aren't of the requisite quality to keep things particularly enjoyable. And the feeling that we've been screwed for the last couple years really doesn't help. Thankfully, for those who aren't mods (whether scrub mods or not), we can ignore plenty of the crap that's stinking up the place right now.
