They're gonna crack 18" at this rate. Incredible bands swinging off the Atlantic.

He's got a big Dodge Ram which helps. He said it was interesting driving up Coastal Hwy to Bethany. I told him, "No sh*t" lol
CAPE
Nice band with 30 dbz returns heading in from just offshore. I am going to venture out shortly.
North Balti Zen
You are in banter , Cape... go to obs and congrats! nice to get one band, but , damn, painful to be this close and basically miss out on a blizzard. Second year running beaches have crushed back in-land.
mattie g
Decided to take the VRE train after my normal one since there’s an OPM delay. Trains are running on time, so efficient that it would make the Germans blush. And now we’re sitting on the tracks in Alexandria due to “mechanical issues.” Jokers. Windy as heck tho That's great to hear. Can't say the same south of Baltimore down 95. Shut down due to tractor trailer fire per my co-worker who is working from home now. Any idea on snow amounts up your way, or is drifting just killing any type of measurement as per everyone else? lol
mattie g
It’s these kinds of days that make me really miss my old job. I could have woken up this morning, seen the OPM guidelines, grabbed a cup of coffee, and chilled at my kitchen table with my laptop while enjoying the view out the bay window. But noooo...I can’t work from home now.

Yeah. I doubt it. I have a sheltered area by work where I'm able to get measurements. At home, that's not going to be easy, if I can even do it at all. WxUSAF
Schools closed and work on a delay, so this worked out even if I was hoping for twice this much snow.
ErinInTheSky
So glad my daycare has a little sense. They close for almost anything and have a policy of, "If MoCo public schools are closed, we are" and even they are opening on a 2 hour delay instead of closing. North Balti Zen
Took several measurements - one inch looks right. Maybe we get some more from one last band. This beats nothing, but not by much. Quite a hot streak the beaches and eastern shore have been on with snow the last few years...

The cities will get theirs at some point, and those to the west will make out best in the long run, but I totally agree with you on the heater that the easterners have been on! ErinInTheSky
The good news is, the last half inch stuck around for a while. Should have a long time of continuous snow cover.
smokeybandit
Drove my usual 22 mile commute to work, other than the immediate neighborhood roads which weren't yet plowed, everything was perfectly clear. So glad they canceled school
North Balti Zen
Is the board wonky for anyone else? I am signed in but the page looks lighter than usual and new posts are not showing up as new so I can’t tell where new content begins. Same issue on desktop and phone browser... I have been having different problems with it for over a week now. There are times also where it is somewhat similar to a denial of service going on with very slow load times.
