SR Airglow
Wham bam thank you NAM. Trying to figure out what the skiing move is on this - leaning towards Wachusett on Thursday to make driving easier but could also go north for Friday although temps will be pretty miserable again. Could see a general 12-18" stripe if this hits big. That's if. Duration would limit any amounts near 20".
TalcottWx
Keep in mind with high winds: could be looking at structural damage at some coastal locations due to ice already formed in Ocean waters.

jbenedet
I like this run much better than 6z. Much less tenuous. Didn't need to bank on convective nuances to get this west. Whole longwave pattern is west with a southern stream shortwave digging to the N Bahamas... I'd be surprised if the rest of the 12z suite didn't shift west here... Hoth
Looks like roughly 15 hr duration, but it'll be fast and furious if it plays out like that. Also, good luck measuring out east with that 80mb+ gradient.

Yeah the longwave ridge was def slightly west on the 12z run...that helps for sure.
WintersComing
Interesting that the NAM is pretty much identical to the CMC from a day or so ago....and everyone was laughing at the CMC.

TalcottWx
I know people are saying they want the euro to jump on, but it's still a pretty decent storm at the coast already with 6-8" within 128. That's enough to dramatically reduce vis

I've spent most of my life between Lynn, Beverly, and now Gloucester, and if it's a colder coastal the whole north shore usually gets rocked pretty good. Hoping that's the case with this system as well. Will feel a lot better if the gfs and especially the euro get fully on board.
