They dominated the globals who still mostly had a scraper at 60 hours. This was a classic system though for them to have a rare medium range advantage over the globals. you could almost 'sense' that happening, too - i remember typing two days ago that we should expect the frh grid to pour in with 1.5 at Logan ... that pretty much happened that next run or the one after -

WxBlue
I still really like 8-14" along I-495 (north of Pike) and up I-95 into SW Maine. HRRR and RAP are supportive along with most of today's model runs.

Almost like a proverb from the cave drawings deep in the Mashantucket woods of Ginxy land. "Shortwave go through deep south...snow come north to SNE..." STILL N OF PIKE
We got a pivot location on banding. Oceanstwx last nite mentioned NE (MA)SE (NH) potential being under big bands up to 6hrs...w pivot just east of ASH

TauntonBlizzard2013
Something to remember... heavy bands basically never end up exactly where modeled... ie. 2013,2010,2015, etc. Its nearly impossible to nail down exact locations

RUNNAWAYICEBERG
I love how TFlizz consistently meh’s his way to jackpots in big events. He’s prob seen a handful of 20” inch systems in the last 5 years compared to my 00000000s.

WxBlue
I've been watching HRRR all day long for my former area in central NC. Get ready for extreme back-and-forths with western areas doing better than expected. Few NC towns saw 3-6" of snow when they weren't expecting anything.
