I still think the wording of "winter weather advisory" is still really confusing to most people, especially if issued over winter storm watch (if NWS backtracks). I think NWS do need to get rid a lot of stuff, but I don't know about getting rid of blizzard watch...

In case y'all are wondering, I haven't been in a blizzard warning before and never experienced blizzard conditions outside 6,000' peak in NC while winter hiking. Shocker, I know.

Not really. If we had strong NE winds I would be, but I think as winds go north and cold air moves down..that limits the low level mixing of stronger winds. It's why the interior rarely gets winds much above 40mph in these. Except for Boxing Day 2010. I thinking those issues are more cstl Plymouth county on south to Cape. Unless this moves over Diane's fanny. LOL.
