I thought it was a good warning sign for average peeps to understand a storm had increased risk. Expand I still think the wording of "winter weather advisory" is still really confusing to most people, especially if issued over winter storm watch (if NWS backtracks). I think NWS do need to get rid a lot of stuff, but I don't know about getting rid of blizzard watch... Baroclinic Zone
I'm not expecting too much change in the Euro. Probably will just be a more mature storm and maybe a slight NW nudge in the track from 00z, more in line with EPS.
Bostonseminole
starting with 8-12" for the 128, Woburn/Burlington area as of right.. could meet blizzard criteria here so expecting warnings will eventually be posted, lots of fun stuff should happen with a <960 low to our east. Scott are you concerned about winds and power at your location Expand Not really. If we had strong NE winds I would be, but I think as winds go north and cold air moves down..that limits the low level mixing of stronger winds. It's why the interior rarely gets winds much above 40mph in these. Except for Boxing Day 2010. I thinking those issues are more cstl Plymouth county on south to Cape.
