Hitman
question-in reading the nws-btv forecast discussion this morning, they were leaning to the gfs with a suppressed out to sea solution over the euro which they described as showing a major snowfall for the north country. But the euro maps posted above dont seem to have that much qpf. what am I missing?

Pretty good chance it is for real. A bit early for amounts though. Doesn't look like a monster storm, but def several inches could fall there. dryslot
This one is moving off to the NE at a good clip, Going to be tough to get something really significant to fall, The 5-10", 6-12" range is probably max depending on its final track for some. Hazey
I like the GFS/Gem combo. Now if the euro will stop trying to amp the thing into the North Pole, all will be good.

HoarfrostHubb
Amazing that just a few days ago we were talking Grinchmas for all and bare ground to the Canadian border (well, one person maybe said that). Probably....but again, 24 hour increments make it hard to discern exact details on the models. It had lower pressure extending back into SE NH/E MA/S ME so it suggests that there would be enhancement there later in the event...basically an inverted trough enhancing or prolonging the synoptic snow...so I mentioned that's where it looked like the most would fall on that run. The GEM showed something somewhat similar and it gave your area at least advisory snows.
